Yes they give you grape juice with sprite instead of wine and sprite (their version of free sangria)
The last two times we’ve come to Washington we have had Saturday brunch at this delightful Spanish restaurant. They serve a fixed price unlimited tapas meal, and everything on the menu is delicious. There is a wide variety of options, probably 30 or more to choose from, ranging from various cheeses to beef dishes, seafood and cheeses. I most recommend the mushroom rice with Idiazabal cheese or the mussels in saffron white wine sauce. Having tried at least half the items in the menu I thought each one was tasty. Of course we added on a sangria pitcher to the meal, and for the extra $10 we had slightly more than ample wine for two. Great place, heartily recommend for brunch.
Spanish restaurant with Brazilian music inside. Food is not so good too. Attention can be better.
We walked by it and quickly decided that we wanted to try this place. They were busy but able to seat us. Service was friendly and attentive and quick. We got a few tapas and some drinks. The food was great and definitely hit the spot. Nice decor. Pricing was pretty good for everything we got. I'd recommend and return if I'm ever back in DC
I love this place; the food is great (papas bravas y tiburon!) and the ambiance is better. Fast service every time I'm there. Recommend for dinner!
Great tapas restaurant in the neighborhood. It’s a small space with a beautiful bar area and smaller cocktail tables. The tapas selections are great, we ordered a paella for the table and everyone had a tapas order, it was the perfect amount of food! The steak was cooked perfectly. I wish they had a wider selection of wine by the glass but no big deal.
Went to Bodega Spanish Tapas & Lounge in August of 2018 with a group from a Writing Seminar. I ordered a pear salad and am still thinking about it almost two years later. Maybe it’s because it was the first meal I had outside the Georgetown Cafeteria in a week, maybe it was because I’d walked two miles in the rain that afternoon. Nevertheless, I had an incredible time with my friends and still daydream about that salad.
This restaurant has become a staple of our trips to DC. Perhaps the place is a bit small, so you better be familiar with your party. However, the taste is big and the variety is something out of the ordinary, even for a Tapas place. One after the other, the chef delivers flavorful morsels. The next one even better than the last. If you dine there, do yourself a favor and try the Sangria, at least once. Reservations are a must, especially at peak hours.
Lunch time, I was not that much hungry so I didn’t have any idea what to eat, I just wanted to have small meal. I found here by accident, it was really lucky to find here! Very kind manager Boni, wonderful flavorful gambas! Even their free bread! And Olive oil(OMG!) was awesome! Definitely I will visit here again! Wanna give them 10 stars!
Worst greeting, worst attitude. Staff must be more polite and kind. I do not recommend that place
Sunday brunch was incredible.Starting with the service a very warm welcome and quickly ordered brunch menu items include cold and hot tapas adding sangria unlimited it's a must.Flamenco music always up with a decoration paired with a Flamenco Dancer and a Guitarist. Olé!Our server Luis and Bartender Antonio were very attentive and friendly. Amazing people delivering genuine Hospitality. Also ordered items off brunch menu they're were tasty and delicious. We're definitely returning for more brunch.
This is truly one of my favorite joints in the entire Georgetown area. It really is such a cool place where everyone is welcome. It offers you this unique fusion where you can be as dressed up to the max or dressed down yet you still feel you’re in the right place. The menu offers a very wide array of options to all taste with reasonable pricing. The service is generally good but can be a bit slow during peak times. The quality of food is superb. I also want to give a special thanks to the management for going beyond their limit in addressing a little complaint about not as expected isolated incident I had, which made very appreciative and remain a loyal customer. I highly recommend this place. 🏆👍🥇
Great Experience and great food. They are busy even during the week, but they will make sure you enjoy your time there.
You’d think a series of tapas wouldn’t fill you up but it’s quite the opposite. This place is so authentic, the food is actually filling and delicious. Highly recommend to come for brunch with a group of friends because there’s this discount/deal option if you do. & there’s a flamenco dancer which made the experience even more fun 💃🏾
Some of the best food my wife and I have had in a very long time. Tapas were toasted bread with goat cheese and honey, seared Octopus with potatoes and paprika, cocktail meatballs stewed in a red wine sauce and grilled lamb chops with red wine sauce. Our entree was Arroz Abanda which is Paella of Shrimp, Monkfish, Squid & Scallops. For drinks we had the Cucumber Collins and the Mojito and all 4 drinks were really good. 😉😁
